I picked up zero sacred dealyboppers after 130ish level95-99ish bats in Fei'yin last night while knocking the dust off my npc, so 100 as a, uh, minimum for the minimum level, seems fairly likely.

If this was based on my post, i was working on the assumption that heroes aby mobs go up to lv 100 max. Its possible they go higher, or u had shit luck?

Very Hard is pretty difficult. Got grand slammed for 1.5k, 300-500 normal hits with phalanx etc, acc was completely floored. Sushi + madrigals/hunters roll 100% recommended.

Just some observations regarding sacred seals dropping.

*The 5 minute window per party is now only 5 minutes per character.
*Rate seems to scale as mob level increases.

Duo'd for a bit in ceizak (thf/dnc + blu/rdm) north of biv#1 getting mostly high kindred crests, but we did manage to get 1 sacred before our second chain 30. I mentioned how I use to farm flame geodes in vollbow zoning terrigan/kuftal to reset the timer which seems to apply to crests too, so we moved to doh gates killing mobs near that entrance. Sacred rate in there was much higher and we found we could just bring mobs to low hp and alternate killshot. For our kill speed, it worked quite well time wise that by the time the player 2's killshot got crest, player 1's crest was sorting and they were up again so zoning wasn't needed. We got 8 sacreds there in about 30min.

I'd imagine the best way to farm would be 6 self-sufficient jobs, fighting in groups of 3, cycling killshots. If all 6 stayed together or if you used mages(buffs to up killspeed/unable to killshot), zoning may be required. 'Gates' areas seemed high enough level to favor sacred's but yorcia/marjami/kamihr should work as well or better if there's high mob supply. I wouldn't expect to see them drop outside adoulin too often.

Again, these are just obervations and not fact. I don't think th does anything for seal/geode rates(I was only thf cause I like thf), but that's just what I think. Hope this info helps some people out, happy hunting.

So "Copy of Rem's tale, Chapter X" are the items needed for the 5 slots. 5 for AF+1, 10 for AF.
And they are physical items that drop in the treasure pool?
That's pretty disappointing, it means you will have to win lot against other people... I had assumed everybody would have got his after they won a fight

Considering most AF ain't even that fantastic (ilevel 109) but just gearswaps for Spells/JAs, it seems they went a bit out of place with the difficulty of obtaining seals, winning BCs and gathering materials.
I can understand them needing a timesink to keep players busy until the next patch, but this seems a bit too much...

Almost accurate, if you notice in my screenshot it says "Obtained" below the treasure pool messages. Each player obtained those specific ones, and two extra dropped in the pool. 2 for Normal, 3 for Hard, 4 for Very Hard (for everyone) and then how ever many extra decide to drop.

That's a bit better I suppose.

Clearly they wanted to make it hard/slow to access these BCs to limit overcrowding issues?
I guess things will slowly get better, they might ninjafix droprates or allow exchange from other seals in the future, or login campaign I guess

i'm pretty sure there will be other uses for the S. Kindred Seals but keeping the droprate at its current rate does seem to prevent overcrowding. There's actually a lot of places to go either way so it's not a real issue (and the old BCs don't instance anyway).

According to the notes it seems a certain difficulty guarantees a number of the items, but they don't specify for who or how it works.
If Ram can clarify.. I am assuming at this point only the person who brings the orb gets the guaranteed 2? cos if everyone gets 2 anyway, that means you really don't need that many battles to get enough chapters for everyone... ie. just doing 5 orbs in a row is enough for 2 AF assuming you have +1, without worrying about winning lot.

i suppose this makes a good incentive for people to EXP in the new areas... on top of existing reasons there might be

That would have been a good thing 2 years ago pre-abyssea.
These days EXP in FFXI is clearly a very different thing. Motivation would probably be getting seals rather than EXP.

Something "broke up" in the EXP mechanism. It's fine if they want to keep it this way for a while but I seriously doubt it can efficiently work over a longer span of time, they'll need to fix something somewhere.

Everyone in the bc received 2 chapters ontop of the loot pool. Hoping the higher difficulty ones give REM boxes, will be surprised if they don't as they are higher level content than anything else by far.

Shit luck is always a strong possibility. I'm not actually sure how high Abyssea mobs can level up, but I assumed it was over 100. ffxidb has recorded drops in Meebles, Gustav, and the Heroes Abyssea zones so far, for outside-of-Adoulin options. The only other two things with 100+ mobs I can think of off the top of my head are Boyahda and maybe MMM. This is of interest to me only because I feel a little bit less like I'm wasting my time if I can get some npc xp in while I'm at it, heh. I just posted previously to keep anyone else from duplicating my probable mistake.

Not that I recall, only gave you a prompt to choose difficulty, I'd imagine it's probably 119 though. 4 song brd giving 2x march 2x mad ontop of sushi, high acc (think bee tp set pre ilvl buff) sets and such is needed.

As far as Demolition Squad goes, we had SCH kite all the mobs and we picked RNG off of him first, EES happened at 30% and did 3k to me with ~10% pdt, a 50% pdt set could eat it np.
Got to MNK then timed out cause we originally went in with meat and low accuracy tp sets and got our acc was floored so we had to wipe and get back up and use sushi.

Trying MNK MNK MNK PLDorSCH BRD WHM tomorrow, I imagine one mnk might need replacing to go MNK MNK PLD SCH BRD WHM to have SCH use its new SP and direct enmity onto PLD to HF during MNK hundred fists, unless the PLD SP gives a massive amount of atk down and acc down.

EDIT: Crests - in Ceizak/Morimar, they occupy 20% of seals drop. Had ~490 crests drop in 30 hrs and 93 of them were sacred, LS member was seeing same distribution as well.

I'm pretty sure Verendus's claim of 5 min per person is vastly flawed, otherwise I would have seen more than 1 SKC in 40 min in Gustav, as well as this (with killshot):

34 crests in Marjami, 3 Sacred...either you're lucky, or I'm unlucky.
