Great. Because of the grid shit and where the Fate pops, you get de-synced and can't sync back when you are able to see it again. Might not have been grid, per say, but I was de-synced while hitting the damn boss. Fucking brilliant SE.

Unfortunately, the second chapter fates seem to pop roughly every 40 minutes. I arrived just as it ended, waited for 40 mins for another pop, then for whatever reason didn't get a parcel from the kill (possibly because I somehow briefly lost my level-sync), so ended up sitting on my ass fucking forever to get a piece of vanity gear. Not sure if worth.

There are two locations and the FATEs likely alternate (haven't really checked, just a guess based on Chapter 1) so you could've teleported to the other zone while waiting.

Got the chapter 2 item by randomly stumbling into the Armored Beast FATE in E. Thanalan when looking for mobs to try out my new skill rotation. Got two chapter 1 items as a reward for a single FATE by hanging out in M. La Noscea for an hour between dungeon runs. They're unsellable, but not untradable, so I guess I'll just give one away.

Side note: The "Quest Accepted" text of the event has the same font as the FFXIII heading font.

Don't give them away. 1 item is needed per weapon so you need 8 if you want all.
