Witch Craft Works Ep1

This was surprisingly watchable and had nice production values. Yeah, it's a battle harem(unless all the girls are just side characters) and the characters are mostly walking cliches, but it was so well-put-together that I almost don't care. The use of magic in the show is also pretty bonkers, resulting in ridiculous stuff like sadistic bunnies.

I've read a bit of Witchcraft Works. It aims for the kuu-dere/Onee-chan genre of older bigger girl and smaller weaker guy. Not a bad thing. I kinda dropped off after a while but it was interesting.

Also that Black Bullet image gives off major Guilty Crown vibes.

So I finished the last episode of the most recent season of Yozakura Quartet. My personal thoughts, contains some spoilers... I guess, but not really. I'll spoiler it anyway.

The show was good. Like, entertaining enough I suppose. The character relationships kind of carried it for me. But the overall plot, the fights, they all got resolved a little too easily to the point where it really took away from the overall feel from the show. That might be from the source, or the fact that it was only a 13 episode series (I think it's 13 anyway), I dunno.

Take the last little story arc, with Juri and her sister. She (the Witch sister) has all these powers, can cause mayhem and mischief and (I think) destruction, and how that whole situation with her sister was resolved was so... simplistic, to the point where it just kind of took all that buildup and made it seem kind of pointless.

That's not to say all the fights are like this. But there were at least a few that had too simple/easy of a finish. Overall though, the story and characters were entertaining enough for me, despite how some of the plot points were resolved.
