Thought this episode was hilarious and sad as hell at the same time. There's only one choice for the salute.
The finger gun sequence is one of the best things in any game, ever.

Enjoyed this a lot. Writing very crisp.
Still not done, but look at that, Telltale actually making previous choices matter with selecting the team. Anyone know who the hunter would've been if I had saved enough money to afford them?
Last episode was pretty amazing. I don't know which I liked better, Tales from the Borderlands, or The Wolf Among Us. They both very much deserve second seasons.
Yeah, TWD gets all the hype, but I agree that Borderlands and Wolf are better. Wolf is getting a second season last I knew. Hopefully Borderlands will too.
Oh man that was good.

I'll explain when I get home unless someone beats me to the punch
Okay home. This is kind of a tough one to answer since there isn't anything really concrete about the vaults other than a giant monster is usually involved. Other than that they all seem pretty inconsistent.
In the first Borderlands once The Vault is activated a giant monster called "The Destoryer" comes out of the portal. After its defeat the portal is destroyed and well... that's that. Yeah it's as bad as it sounds and it did piss off a lot of people.
In Borderlands 2 the original Vault Hunters are now NPCs to help drive the story. They're a resistance group against Handsome Jack and discover he found another vault called "Vault of The Warrior" which houses a giant monster which Jack means to summon and control to cleanse Pandora. While he succeeds in summoning The Warrior, it's anything but invincible and is killed. He's shortly then executed by The Vault Hunters. At the end of the story it's revealed there are multiple vaults scattered across the galaxy.
In Borderlands The Presequel Jack learns about a vault on Elpis (Pandora's moon) and enlists 4 Vault Hunters to help him reach it. Once you reach where the Vault is located you enter a strange fissure which sends you somewhere otherwordly where you fight another monster known as "The Guardian" that comes out of the giant vault-shaped portal. Once defeated a strange relic that looks like a tiny vault symbol is all that remains. Handsome Jack examines it and flashed visions of The Warrior on Pandora.
And well... yeah, that's pretty much it. The Vaults are still a big mystery of what exactly they are.
