Back from seeing it..
Spoiler: showIt is a powerful film. I haven't been moved by a movie like that sinse.. I don't know. As we were leaving the theater I heard a man comparing it to 2001: A Space Odyssey. I can see that. When that movie was released some people hated it. Now it is considered a classic. This could be the 2001 of our time. I do have some really big problems with some of the science (lol being able to escape the gravity of a black hole or even being able to get close to it without being instantly dead) but the story telling and the acting made up for it. The music was pretty amazing too. That one track. I don't know what it is.. that sounds like Dracula's pipe organ.. I want the soundtrack just for that ha ha. I am guessing a lot of people are not going to like it cause it got all metaphysical there at the end but I don't think they could have made it compelling story if it was strictly scientific.Spoiler: showif it would have ended with McConaughey dying in the black hole and the robot sending the black hole data back to the daughter with Hathaway's character making it to the planet and everyone from earth soon following, I think it would have been am excellent ending. I think they played the relativity card well enough with the black guy waiting 23 years for them to get off the planet, they didn't need to McConaughey/daughter ending
