So just learned from experience that you can parry the comet falling on your head during KB. Found it funny, more so because I was on BRD.

I've never seen tank feet
So I've heard that if you do CT with a preformed group (e.g. FC), you can avoid opening the chests until Acheron is dead and then have a person go back to each of the unopened chests (except one...?) and pop them all simultaneously, so you don't lot a mediocre piece early on (just to get something for the week) only to see the piece you really wanted drop later.
Three questions:
- Has anyone here done this?
- Can other parties pop your chest?
- Is there a chest that you cannot backtrack to, and if so, which one is it?
Not my info, but this should answer your question anyway.
• No one can pop your chest but someone in your party. (I've never been able to open other parties' chests in CT)
• Thanatos' chest seems to be rendered unreachable at some point.
The Nemesis (succubus type) adds during Thanatos spawn with a large amount of hate pre-built on someone; like Garuda EX's Spiny Plume. So tanks not on Thanatos should provoke if it's on a healer (or if PLD, chain-stun for 10 seconds if DPs are piling on it). Conversely, Sandman adds can't be tanked at all.
Did my first run and got Pld Body feels good man. Overall no real issues other then one alliance being light on damage and causing a couple issues. Behemoth and Archeron fight were pretty cool to do finally.
Ok question on Bone Dragon. This seems to only happen when I'm main tanking, but without losing hate the dragon will randomly walk off to do a move on someone across the room, then return back. Like I said, I never lost hate (always "A" in the hate list). The strange thing is this seems to happen only when I tank, so am I missing something? Is there an indicator for stun I'm missing?
It's a thing some bosses do sometimes when a targeted AoE on a non-tank is on an out of range target. Hydra does this sometimes, runs over and puts a ball under itself.
That's what I believed. Just seems to only happen when I main tank
If I can time it, I always leave a boosted Halone ready so that I can immediately pop it and Fight or Flight right after Provoke. Should never have trouble keeping hate off another tank this way.
pfft I never voke when I'm ghosted I let the unghosted tank keep him just so my healers can push more buttons instead of heal. Plus you'll probably pull hate before you're unghosted so you might as well repeat the process. Lets your alliance get more DPS on the boss.
There is honestly almost zero reason to use provoke in that raid. OBvious exception is a tank dies.
The only problem is that if every tank in the raid has that same idea, it will all go to complete shit in a big hurry.
There would be less or next to no tanks chasing after nemesis if they were all tanking/trying to tank Thanatos.
Tanks? Chasing after Nemesis? I have never witnessed this phenomena.
Whats a nemesis?
Exactly.
