Wireless Speakers
I need to replace some 15 year old speakers that are just now failing me and I'm looking mostly to reduce the cable clutter coming out from behind my desk. In order, my priorities are:
1) No wires, anywhere
2) Long ass battery life
3) Can fit on a relatively narrow shelf (no big round things)
4) Sound quality
Budget's somewhere under $170. 80% of the time I'm listening through a nice set of headphones so I'm not super duper fussy about sound quality, this is more to give my ears a break once in a while and fill the room with sound when needed. A remote control for volume/power would be a huge bonus.
A lot of the higher-reviewed speakers seem geared towards tablet/mobile owners in a single box config, I'm wondering if anybody uses these things in a desktop computer configuration and if they'd recommend it to others.

Do you want a speaker bar, or like, actual PC speakers? To be honest, you are going to take a big hit in quality and an even bigger hit in price by going wireless. Also, most PC speakers are 'wireless' but run off AC power.
