Feels like the aug pool on the nuking staff is really diluted. Seen Int, Mnd, Chr, Fast Cast, Magic Crit %, Magic Burst Damage, MAB, MAcc, Conserve MP, -enmity and now Ele. Magic Skill all off of +1 stones. -.- Skill is still just +1 MAcc for that school yeah? For +7 off a +1 stone.
The "model" of weapon augments for NQ and +1 weapons was:
+X Damage
+X Stat
+X special category
First two being 100%, third being very likely but not 100%.
Third category was different for melee weapons and mage weapons.
For instance you would never see an Uffrat with Avatar Perp and Avatar Mab or Avatar Mab and Avatar Macc at the same time, since they all share the same slot (the third). This is exactely how it worked for the first 2 tiers of Skirmish and, so far, we have all reasons to believe that +2 weapons follow exactely the same model (and, alas, the same possible max/min augments as well it seems =/ )
Right, know that much. But that special category seems incredibly inflated compared to what I remember for 113 weapons. And the "stat" category has had other special stats added to it, I think fast cast and magic crit rate, as on a few +2 stones, I haven't had a +stat, and instead had those augments in the second slot. Strictly talking about Lehbrailg +2 though, I haven't done any other weapons/armor yet. Gogo awesome KI drop rate.
Huh? You mean someone got augment like
Damage +19
Fast Cast +3
Mab +10
O.O
That would imply there's something very different in the formula
I had 2:
DMG +wtfever
Fast Cast +4%
Conserve MP +2
and
DMG +wtfever
Magic Crit. Rate +4%
Magic Burst Dmg +9%
No pics, and I've since over written it with a +10 MAcc aug, but I'm sure there's other's that may have some. I haven't paid much attention to what pics have been posted, so dunno if the example you gave is possible (if MAB is slot 2 or 3) or not.
Lol no need, I trust you!
But then yeah, something big has changed in the formula. This opens up more randomness but also more potential for these weapons.
The thought of a Macc+/FC+ Staff makes me drool!
Then I think at the amount of stones it would require and give up the idea lol
like this?
Now damn they just broke the random numbers generator on that.. +26 macc yeeesh...
There was an Uffrat with Avatar MAB +24 and Pet Damage Taken -1 as well, Sechs. To answer you question about Uffrat +2 being better than Eminent pole, it can already potentially be better. But unless the MAB augment goes higher than 25, it's really just competing to be dead even with Balsam staff in terms of dmg. Here's to hoping that the Uffrat can get BP DMG: +10% instead of WSD +10% as an augment. >_>
Purely for MAcc, that staff beats Carn for BRD and you can pair it with Mephistis Grip (MAcc+5) vs. Carn's option of Genbu's (MAcc+4). That said, I'm not going to give up all the debuff duration enhancement of Carn just for 2 MAcc.
Do we know how to upgrade armor?
Same way as the weapons...?
The Wiki doesn't say, or I'm looking in the wrong place.
get KI, trade armor and KI to npc, get +1 armor
So there's no way to upgrade an existing armor piece?
As opposed to what kind of armor piece
It would need to already be in existence in order to be traded
Let me be more clear.
I have a pair of Hagondes Sabots. They are augmented.
Can I turn them into a pair of Hagondes Sabots +1? Does the augment stay? Or do I have to get an entirely new pair of boots?
