    For the record, I regularly parse around 50% of 6-person party's damage on BLM in Ra'Skimish. It's very friendly to mage jobs, but you still need at least one or two melee to tank the monsters.


    Also, two more things:
    1) Doing a Tier 5 set seems to unlock a Fluturini NM that can cast Kaustra / Meteor and needs to be defeated with a combination of melee and magic damage. We've also seen an NQ Leafkin mob in a V/V/V set that I've never seen anywhere else.
    2) New NMs sometimes spawn a few minutes after entering the zone.

    I've seen Leafkins in low tiers too. Not sure if it was a 1/1/1... it was either a 2/2/2 or a 3/3/3, definitely not a 5/5/5 since I've only done like, one of those?
    Not sure what defeating a Leafkin does in Ra'kaznar though, since there is no gear dropping.

    I guess one additional drop slot in the shared treasure pool?
    Maybe higher % on the KI? /shrugs

    Noticed pretty big jumps in damage the other day when I hit Fire 3 during a light SC though. Like ~2k damage instead of... I don't remember how much fire3 was doing in my normal setup, but something like 189 damage?

    From my experience, the Ironclad has several different TP moves that are initially locked. Dealing certain types of damage unlocks that WS, with higher damage = higher chance of him using it.

    Slashing = Turbine Cyclone
    Blunt = Arm Cannon?
    Piercing = ?
    Magic = Ballistic Kick

    He can use Eradicator too, perhaps if you unlock all the damage types.

    hmm makes sense, ours only ever spams Cyclone because we have slashers. By leafkin ppl mean the heartwing? The Fluturini NM getts utterly destroyed by Ranged (piercing?) damage.

    I'm sure people meant leafkin when they wrote leafkin.
    It's just me who did the mistake. Of course I meant heartwing.

    Want to just get this out there that the information in Fwahm's quoted piece is wrong with regards to blunt.

    I have only ever seen Turbine Cyclone on IC unless magic damage of some form has been done to it. That is true of SAM, MNK, and THF as far as I can tell across many many runs.

    Slightly off topic but... Otronif Harness +1.
    I've been (un)lucky enough to get Crit+2 on it.
    Thing is... other than Hybrid builds I can't find any good place to use it.
    It comes close to Anchoryte Cyclas +1 in some contexts on MNK, and for PUP it's slightly better than my previous option (manibozho jerkin) in most situations.
    But... it's pretty underwhelming.
    I was expecting it to be nice for Blade: Hi but appearently Mochizuki Chainmail +1 comes ahead in the majority of situations.

    I did only very superficial tests because I was very tired. Any suggestion? What did I miss? Where could I put it to good use than I didn't think of already? D:

    I've personally only done 1-1-1 with 3 players 3 trusts. Had mixed results, won a few runs lost a few mostly due to the different NMs we ran into. Went BLU DRK MNK with Kupipi Cherukiki and a brd, probably jaochim just to try to keep them out of AoE range which is harder than it looks. You also can't tell a melee trust not to ws the iron clad etc to they're a hassle to deal with. This was shortly after they added the ability to enter with trusts, haven't tried again since then.

    Melee + Healer + BRD can beat up to 3-3-3 pretty easily. BLM + BLM + Trusts can as well.

    What trusts were you using as BLM BLM Byrth? if i recall correctly, trusts don't engage via magic dishing out right, only if you're engaged and swing at the mob yes?

    I'll play around with those suggested setups.

    done 3-1-1 with SAM + MNK + WHM with joachim/ulmia trusts, primary and secondary usually with <5min left
