Until you have a bigger "data" pool than 4/4 from mining, you should probably just not ask the question...when someone goes 10/10 or 20/20 (and proves it, you have no evidence that your friends words weren't anecdotal or exaggerated), maybe this will be relevent... also this

"somebody in my LS said today that he got his 4th tonberry, and he got it from mining a boarskin" you didn't say he got all 4 from mining, this just says that he got his 4th one from a mining boarskin...do you KNOW where he got the others? ALL the facts sir, or none of them.

We've decided that certain people are tied to certain loot drops, based on who opens the chest. I generally create tank and healer gear. Another member creates a fuck ton of caster gear. None of our members generate bard gear.

This is accepted as fact in our group.

I think we need to refer back to the most accepted theory and be sure to enter the portal on an even in-game time. If you don't do this you'll get ported to the wrong room

I wouldn't even call this a theory. I literally had a 95% success rate, at least.
