Spring 2014 Anime Season Thread

I decided to check out Mekakucity Actors. 2 episodes and I have no frigging idea what this is about X.x

I thought I did, then I saw episode 2 so now I dunno. Theme seems to be vampire kids with special city powers.

I thought he said if he played anything other than paper he loses. Was that a rule? and if so why didn't he lose when playing rock?

Damn it man. I wanted to hold you to a higher standard than the countless people at /a/ that couldn't follow it even after all the nice diagrams.

They tied. He didn't play paper, so he lost. But she also picked scissors and lost to his rock, thus the end result is a loss-loss -> tie. They spent a couple minutes on the rules and outcomes with diagrams to spell everything out.

Also, I fuckin' love Demo D. His videos are to me what chocolate is to females, a dirty little guilty pleasure.

eh, I blame the subtitles then. Tying isn't losing; it is tying. Very shitty explanation. I was fine w/ the diagrams and whatnot, but it made no sense because due to the subs I was watching, I was under the belief that if he played anything but scissors, he auto lost. Since it's game theory, it might make more sense to think to think of win = +1 and loss = -1 instead of absolute concepts of win and lose. Since they both ended up with a -1, it resulted in a tie. Yes, he did auto-lose by not playing paper, but she also lost the game.

The main thing is that all along he was fine with the tie. She made her decision rationally and, by assuming he would as well, is the reason that she lost the game.

I started watching Ping Pong the Animation for the sports, but I keep getting so much more.

PPtA is seriously good. This season is just packed with good anime, especially sports themed ones (not even including Daiya no Ace or YowaPedal)

I don't even know what's going on in Black Bullet anymore, I just watch it for Enju.
