Anyone else waiting for the jet to just emerge out of nowhere and be all like, "APRIL FOOLS?"
Obviously kidding, but what an April Fools joke that would be, huh?

Yeah, I know that. Putting families through hell only to emerge a month later and be like "loljk" would be awful, but sometimes, random terrible thoughts pop into my head.
idk all things considered i think having it all be an elaborate april fool's joke would be better than the alternative.
I remember seeing all kinds on simulation models a few years ago when Lost was airing and everyone wanted 15 mins. Common factor seemed to be that a water landing will never happen + shrapnel explosion into bitty pieces.
so would the families, is what i was getting at. sure, horrible prank, but better a horrible prank than, yknow, dead relatives.
I see what you're getting at Bane, but if I were one of those family members it would take me a long time to forgive someone for playing a prank that cruel. Yes I would be glad that they were alive, but putting someone through that much mental anguish just for a laugh is not cool.
So they still havent found this mother fuckin plane? I bet it was snakes
We're likely not to find it until James Cameron takes his sub to the ocean floor to find it.
it'll finish its flight.. to Beijing via scenic route in 40 or 50 years, depending on the wormhole diameter
The best story would be a Godzilla tie-in, as discussed earlier in this thread I believe.
All the passengers were paid to disappear for six weeks before the movie, leading up to the release of the movie.
Best marketing ever.
There is new speculation to be speculated on about unconfirmed news from the Chinese ship saying that within the search zone, they found some pings that match a similar frequency to the kind sent by BB. I hope they learned from their last announcement, not to say anything without confirmation of proof. Either way, CNN will have a massive hardon and drag out their retired pilots.
Chinese ship hunting for missing Malaysia jet detects 'ping'
Another flight has gone missing, Indonesia --> Singapore flight this time, same Southeast Asia region regardless. What's up with that O_o

god damn...
air planes in southeast asia are gonna have the WORST facebook year in review.
ironically this airline is also owned by Malaysian company.
At this point, I think it stops being ironic and is more a trend...
A friend of mine was scared because he thought his dad might be on the flight since he hadn't heard from him, but thankfully he posted on Facebook shortly after.
Still, scary times. I gotta wonder if it's a freak coincidence or of something else is at play. Shoddy maintenance maybe?
There's no way two planes disappear from the same region in the same year without sending an emergency signal by accident. There's gross negligence somewhere in that chain.
