I saw the commercials, thought it looked cool but then thought it's too much like GoT but on History channel, which means no boobs or intense gore. And with out boobs or intense gore, what's the point?

To be honest, though, I thought it was an HBO show. In Sweden it runs on HBO, that's how I discovered it >.>

Show is great. Been watching it for as long as it's been out. Season 2 started off with a bang too.

No magic. All the characters believe in magic, mystics, gods, and all that jazz. But there's no actual magic.

The main character has a habit of exploiting that fact.

I've been watching every week, I really like this show. I think they guy that plays Ragnar does really great job and keeps the character really interesting. Also, it's really cool to watch how the monk guy changes over the years, glad he's a viking now

It most likely will. His son is a fairly major role it seems. They talk about him a lot.

Sorry to compare it to GoT but I figured it was the only other medieval show I could compare it to. This show moves at a fast pace I feel which is nice. Or at least season 2 has been moving pretty quick I feel. I only watch this and walking dead weekly since breaking bad ended. This show has a good amount of stuff that happens per episode given the length but it's also fairly shallow in terms of plot depth. Easy to follow along and to predict but also enjoyable enough to be engaged. It's light on the brain. Fighting is decent too.

Just dl'd season 1 after reading this thread, show is p.sweet so far. I hate his brother, seems like such a pussy/crybaby. I love how they just killed all the unarmed monks when they raided a church lol, not a single fuck was given that they didn't even put up a fight, just a massive slaughter lol
