    Job Points discussion

    Battle-related

    A new advancement system called "Job Points" has been introduced.

    What Are Job Points?
    Job points are a form of advancement for players who have reached level 99.

    Besting monsters in battle will yield capacity points for a player's main job, and can be converted into job points to further enhance that job.
    Unlocking Job Points

    Speak with the Nomad Moogle in Ru'Lude Gradens (H-5) after fulfilling the conditions given below in order to receive the "job breaker" key item.
    Conditions for unlocking job points
    Be in possession of the "limit breaker" key item
    Have your main job at level 99
    Earning Job Points
    Vanquishing monsters of level 96 and above while in possession of the job breaker item will yield capacity points in addition to experience points.

    Players will earn one job point once they have acquired 30,000 capacity points.
    Please note that the amount of capacity points earned varies by monster level and that the number of capacity points earned by a single player is reduced when in a party.
    Allocating Job Points
    While inside one's Mog House, selecting "Job Points" from the status section of the main menu will provide a list of available jobs. Selecting a job displays a list of categories that may be enhanced.
    Notes
    Experience point and capacity point acquisition is reduced when in parties. However, this reduction is lessened in the following areas.

    Sih Gates / Cirdas Caverns / Dho Gates / Woh Gates / Moh Gates

    Players are unable to earn capacity points from experience points gained by monsters vanquished in Abyssea or reives, by chain bonuses and other bonuses, or by completing certain types of content.
    Dedication has no effect on the number of capacity points earned.
    Capacity points exist for each job, and can only be set for one's main job.

    Mighty Strikes: Physical Accuracy +2
    Berserk: Physical Attack +2

    WHM:
    Bene Effect: MP Recovered +1% on user
    Divine Seal: Enmity -3

    BLM:
    Manafont: Magic Damage +3
    Elemental Seal: Enmity -3

    RDM:
    Chainspell: Magic Damage +2
    Convert: Reduce HP Consumed by 1%

    PLD:
    Invincible: Increase Static Enmity +100
    Holy Circle: Reduce damage from undead by 1

    BST:
    Familiar: Increase attributes by 3
    Pet Acc Bonus: Physical Accuracy +1

    SAM:
    Meikyo Shisui: Skillchain Damage +2%
    Warding Circle: Damage from demons -1

    NIN:
    Mijin Gakure: Damage +3% (lol)
    Yonin: Physical Evasion +2

    BLU:
    Azure Lore: Physical Blue Magic Damage +1
    Blue Magic Point Bonus: Blue Magic Points +1

    COR:
    Wild Card: Chance of V or VI resetting Wild Card cooldown +1%
    Phantom Roll: Duration +2 seconds

    Every category maxes at 10 upgrades
    You can hold 200 JP at once


    MNK: Acc during HF (+2), Eva from Dodge (+2)
    WHM: MP Recovered by Self from Bene (+1%), Enmity Reduction added to Divine Seal (-3)
    BLM: M.DMG added to Spells during Manafont (+3), Enmity Reduction added to Elemental Seal (-3)
    THF: M.Eva added to Perfect Dodge (+3), Increased DEX Bonus of Sneak Attack (+1%)
    BST: Increase all Pet Attributes during Familiar (+3), Pet Accuracy (+1)
    NIN: Mijin Damage (+3%), Yonin Evasion Bonus (+2)
    SMN: Increase all Avatar Attributes during Astral Flow (+3), Avatar Accuracy (+1)
    SCH: MP Recovered by self upon activating Tabula Rasa (+2%), Regen Duration with Light Arts (+3 seconds)

    Remember that it's only 10 points for now. They're eventually going to increase it to 30, I believe.

    They need to increase it to shit that matters. I mean really? Bonus damage to ninja 2hour? I get they hit everyones 2 hour but i was expecting something a little better from this. When they expand it I hope there are actually things worth putting points into for all the jobs and not just a few.

    For now I think I'll save up 200 job points and hope they add new ones worth doing.

    The XP:CP ratio seems so insanely off. A lot of people were expecting retarded rates like 1:5 or something like that. I personally was expecting 1:1, didn't expect them to go SO MUCH under that...

    Nope and the update notes even saI'd that basically everything that increases xp wont increase cp but things that decrease xp will also decrease cp. Kinda said that it's this much lower though.

    They are probably referring to CE seeing as +enmity stat caps at 100

    I think it means rather than adding to your enmity % where your actions are changed by that, it immediately adds to your static enmity (CE as defined by Kaeko), which caps at 30000, I believe?

    200 JP Cap * 30k CP per JP = 6 million CP

    120,000 kills @ 50 CP a kill to cap your JP reserve

    WohGates is pretty terrible now, 994 primary acc worms checking neutral eva.

    3 person party.
    1650 exp, 321 capacity points.


    Edit: Ceizak mobs give ~40 in 3 person party, and ~80-90 solo.
