I mean, Black Flag was 900p/30 FPS on both platforms too and no one said anything about it. The only difference is they're not (apparently) patching the PS4 version after the fact to run at a higher resolution.
The NeoGaf post even says the issue isn't graphics processing, it's AI calculation (the CPU). They targeted 900p on both consoles, and they hit it. All this mad from people who bought a PS4 because it was a "pure gaming machine" is hilarious to me. This reflects poorly on Ubisoft far more than it is a statement on the "strength" of either console (hello Watch_Dogs).
Ubisoft statement/clarification. Not that it's going to make a difference to anyone who's already being stupid about it.
Don't know if true or not, but makes me laugh.

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming...andard-1268241"And in other games it's the same - like the Rachet and Clank series [where it was dropped]. So I think collectively in the video game industry we're dropping that standard because it's hard to achieve, it's twice as hard as 30fps, and its not really that great in terms of rendering quality of the picture and the image."
Alex Amancio, the game's Creative Director, reiterated this point: "30 was our goal, it feels more cinematic. 60 is really good for a shooter, action adventure not so much. It actually feels better for people when it's at that 30fps. It also lets us push the limits of everything to the maximum.
I just hope the graphics won't suffer because they're lazy. Because judging by some of the official stuff they've released, the graphics are really suffering. A lot.

If anyone is getting a 980, 970, 780 TI, 780, or 900m notebook, nvidia is running a deal now that gives a voucher for this game, The Crew, or Far Cry 4.

Newegg honored the promotion even though I purchased it on the beginning of October. Heads up for those early adopters of the 900 series.
Seriously? Shaving cream DLC? LOL
I tend to agree with 30FPS giving a more cinematic feel. The Last of Us looks silly in 60FPS.
