Maybe its just me, but I don't watch remakes I originally liked unless I hear they're really well done. The reason I don't is because I know I will never like the remake as much as the first, so I don't set myself up for disappointment.
Movies I thought were crap to begin with? Np. I'll watch that day 1 with no remorse.
Can't be any worse than the original is my mentality going into the thing.
