Actually I like that the new soldiery stuff is not another AF set in a way. So healers, tanks, and BLM/SMN will have a little more freedom to play the opposite in their role (outside of weapon at least).

Way to upgrade our atma weapons I suppose. Basically a challenge log of a bunch of different things. i find that to be awesome
And if they keep on this path, it seems like an easy way for SE to allow us to keep upgrading the weapon in the future

You gotta admit, it adds a bit of depth and longevity to the content.
Now if you can choose what kinda upgrades you can do (i.e STR path, Accuracy path, Determination path, etc...) it'd be awesome. Much needed customization.

I was actually just thinking of that earlier. It bugged me that base Atma stats are the same as Zenith, so I figured it was a challenge log of partial upgrades/augments, Magian-style. It probably upgrades to Animus upon completion of all challenges. I'm really pleased with the way it's turning out, hopefully the number requirements aren't too insane (it looks like they aren't so far, but FATEs are the real concern). Originally Posted by Datonare

The Trials of the Braves is a collection of sacred texts spanning nine books, each of which contains a series of objectives for enhancing your relic weapon atma. They can be acquired by exchanging Allagan tomestones with G'jusana at Revenant's Toll.
Each book will appear in the Key Items section of your inventory. By vanquishing all the foes listed therein with your relic weapon atma equipped, your weapon will undergo evolution.
Upon fulfilling the objectives of all nine books, your weapon will be ready to complete its evolution and become a relic weapon animus?one step closer to one of the transcendent Zodiac Weapons.
