Which is good. They are avoiding the Relic/Mythic/Empy problem that FFXI had, where there are multiple versions of the "best" weapon. Just keep building on relic and always have it be second best. For players like me with no interest in coil and want something to do in their spare time, it's perfect. Sense of accomplishment without the PITA RNG.

It's worth mentioning that it's not continuing, or at least that's not how I interpreted it. Sounds like the expansion provides a clean slate (-ish, they've said "we won't forget about you who've gotten your zodiac", make of that what you will), so newbies aren't overwhelmed at the amount of steps it takes to get to the current stage.

but yeah, it sounds like it'll just be one weapon rather than upgrading two.

This is moonstone-related, but you need a zodiac's worth of GC seals for each tool (without the incentive to run dungeons) so it's somewhat relevant.

Most of the zodiacs look garbage and every single relic glow has been god awful. You high as fuck son. All of the relic quests are fucking terrible design and it's insane that they haven't gone back and fixed the jacked up steps. The nerfs they've done to the earlier steps isn't nearly enough to say stupid shit like "no reason not to do it".

some of them are fugly, like the books

being said, im hoping the final ZW form gives some kind of not-overdoing type of glow because right now, dying weapon isnt really as appealing as relic glow series
