Thanks, I'll change my post to say 11 det on shield, but I do still have one question. Which stat on which item was not capped for that person?

If you have 75 points to put in your scroll and you want to cap parry and determination...
Sword Parry gets 31 (31 materia total)
Sword Det gets 23 (54 materia total)
Shield Parry gets 13 (67 materia total)
Shield Det gets 9 (76 materia total)

Is there something I'm missing? As a PLD, don't you have to pick one of those to sacrifice a point on? Did SE finagle something so that you only maybe use 22 det materia on sword, but actually get 23 points?

Did anyone do any testing on wether equipping Zodiac (non-zeta) sword and zenith shield on PLD could drop both Alexandrite, build lights _and_ get Atma?

Confirmed along time ago, only sword counts for drops

Any FATE will drop Alex? Doesn't have to be an ATMA zone, right?

N.Than is generally the most popular since it has the highest level FATEs in the game, no atma comes from the zone.

Middle LN is my zone of choice. Fast fate respawns and they die quickly. Easy to maneuver too.

Hunts are far superior for farming Alexandrites.

17 zones with hunts, 17 A Ranks. 40 Seals each. 30 Soldiery.

17 * 40 = 680 seals per set of A ranks, or 3 alex per set + 510 soldiery, 1 and a quarter maps, assuming you spend sold on maps instead of zodiac water.

Each set of A ranks has a minimum recycle time of 3 hours and 30 minutes, up to 5 hours. Let's assume an average respawn time of all 17 to occur every 4 hours. That's 2 alex per hour. Doing fates, you're likely to achieve at least 2 or 3 alex an hour.

S rank days are different, but I still probably wouldn't bother with A ranks, or would do FATEs in A window zones.
