What if newborn star moves around once you get it and there's a pattern for it? Seems like some people got it from Syrcus while others didn't and I've heard Titan EX as well?

i soulglazed all my novus
but of course you can only work on 1 a time, but this gives u diversity to change job anytime and still progress the equipped novus anytime unlike books restriction
sorry for being unclear before
From their patch notes, I am under the impression that the amount of light per event is changed ( daily? weekly? )
Basically, the best way would be to gather intel on which event has the best light/time ratio - currently - and join that.
If it is so, it could be a nice change from "do this dungeon 100 times".
The wording on the Japanese patch notes state that the light you get from a specific content is fixed, but that you might get a higher level if you perform that content for longer than a certain amount of time.
For the good the localisation team does in the game, their work on patch notes can be pretty shit.
I'm sorry but I don't see how that goes against what I just said.
Low lvl roulette I was told gives a light, any tank/healer attempt to queue ifrit/titan story mode to see if those count? If so you are blessed with stupid easy fights to spam.
Did you look at the instance timer? Doesn't matter when *you* entered, it matters how godawful long someone spent completing the instance. Imagine multiboxers; they send four of their accounts into a duty and complete it up to the final boss this way and drop one out so they can join themself and get instant bonus light.
Well this all makes sense if you think about it... they want to reward based on time spent - not based on how fast you r--e the content.
So if you take longer to complete it you're not penalized for it by token of receiving a slightly better light.
if you joined a "in progress" queue, you will get evaluated differently from the rest
that means even if they are there for god knows how long, and you go in for only 2 mins, you get evaluated same as them cos of instance going THAT long already.
lucky you, and lucky them as well for being able to finish it
brilliant light 15min Stone vigil Expert
I'm thinking the Expert dungeons may end up being the way to go.
Tamtara like a son of a bitch.
