I am more concerned about 3x Grandfall before second SP. Half the arena is usually painted blue.

When the adds spawn on the opposite side I just don't see a way for the tail-tank to efficiently grab both adds and keep hate on the tail. It sounds as silly to me as, I guess splitting the adds seems silly to you. Who aoes the adds anyway? Besides smn (who would benefit more from the head-tank taking the adds, not the tail-tank) I don't see a reason to not focus them down with single target skills.

But meh, there's more than one way to peel an orange.

As a SMN I like it when the OT takes an add to the tail, so I can Bane a dot stack onto it. It only hurts me once, and I get a short burst of double DPS on Levi.

So weird. Like five runs, one win, and 100% of the Grand Falls on two people. Every guide seems to indicate it's random; one guide actually says it OT / Random DPS which is definitely not correct. I will just go with random for now.

A little late, didn't really read to see if people figured it out, but it's not random and it's not enmity based. Really easy to figure out if you just watch who it chooses. There's a reason it chooses bards a lot.

Yeah, I don't even know anymore. I've gotten picked as SCH with everyone up. I've seen summoners and black mages get picked in a group with a melee and a bard. I've seen two melee get picked. Still haven't been picked as MT yet, but it'll probably happen as soon as I say MT can't get picked.

I'm furthest from the tail 99.9% of the time and I am not selected 99.9% of the time so I kind of doubt that is it. I do get picked a ton but idk that it's distance from tail.

When we had brd brd blm smn, and it would be on both the bards, and then when it was three it would be the bards and the tail tank-- so it's definitely not distance from the tail. Maybe I'll start streaming levi so I can look back at the recordings and try to figure it out.

For what it's worth, when I went DRG I would get picked every single time. I believe the other DPS were BRD SMN BLM and I didn't pay attention to who else was selected at the time.

Could be based on hate list placement. 3rd etc.

Has always been our DPS everytime for us, we always have our DPS stands at side of the ship all the time, so grandfall will always never be in the middle.

Spouts? I really hate it when people don't use uniform terminology. I thought we were debating Grand Fall/plumes. I've never seen Waterspout on anyone but a healer unless a Healer was dead.
