I dunno. In some ways yeah, but I think an awful lot of his fans really appreciate his talent just as much as his relentlessly making a fool out of the right. Also think he'll have no qualms about continuing to be 99% one-sided.
That should be awesome.
As to Oliver's show... meh. To me it pretty much feels like when he was hosting daily show, which I wasn't all that impressed with. I won't complain about now having 5 daily shows a week though, even if one is with a lesser host.
Well I don't know if it should be considered turning me off as a fan but since I do not like late night shows in general, outside of occasional people as guests who I will tune in to see no matter what show they appear on, I only enjoy the opening acts of late night shows so I wont be watching it every time. I will watch the first few opening week shows when he starts, however.
I have to find a way to catch Oliver's show because yeah I heard it is amazing. I think there is an official site for back episodes but I have not verified it.
I will watch the show that is filling in Colbert's old spot but it definitely will not be the same. Watching Colbert after TDS is a tradition for me. :D
I dunno where else to post this but Sarah Palin started an "internet news network" at sarahpalinchannel.com...
And Stephen Colbert got http://www.thesarahpalinchannel.com rofl
It links to his amazing bit on her Paul Revere shit lol.
Links to time warner cable can't find your shit for me.
They probably got it shut down as soon as they figured it out lol, guessing it would be considered squatting.
edit: nevermind, it's channel not network, fixed
Letterman's final show to air on May 20th, Colbert premiers on September 8th

Hes off the air for 9 months? ugh
I'm gonna miss Jungle Jack
Reminder: Dave's final show is TONIGHT.
Get out of work at 1130...maybe.......ugh
I'll watch for another glorious Foo Fighters performance.
Don't watch him often, but I'll watch a legend sign off one last time. What time exactly does it start?
Finale was just awesome.
The video package synced to the live Foo Fighters performance was great.
I enjoyed the show. It was a fitting end.
But when the camera focused on his son, I felt kind of bad for the kid. The kid looked so fucking awkward and uncomfortable.
This is the late night wars in 2015, ladies and gents.
Personally preferred Americone Dream...
