The current translations are only partway through day 2, but so far it's even better than day 1 in that regard

    Woohoo!

Yowamushi Pedal Cycling Anime's 2nd Season Premieres in October

The staff of the anime adaptation of Wataru Watanabe's Yowamushi Pedal cycling manga announced at the Le Tour de Yowapeda event on Sunday that a second season of the anime has been green-lit. The 38th and final episode of the first season will air on June 30, and the second season will begin airing in October.

TOHO Animation also began streaming the official announcement trailer on Sunday evening:

The story of the anime centers around Sakamichi Onoda, an otaku at Sōhoku High School. He loves anime and games so much, that he would ride his commuter bicycle to and from Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district in a 90-kilometer (about 60-mile) round trip over steep slopes after school. Onoda's life changes when he encounters his school's cycling team, and he ends up joining the competitive sport of bicycle racing.

Osamu Nabeshima (D.Gray-man, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Zetman) is directing the first season of the anime at TMS Entertainment. Reiko Yoshida (Tamako Market, K-ON!, Bakuman.) is in charge of the series scripts, while Takahiko Yoshida (Welcome to the NHK, Big Windup!) is designing the characters.

Wataru Watanabe launched the original manga in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in 2008, and the story already inspired stage plays. The first season of the anime premiered last October, and Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Japan as it airs.

38 episodes for the first season only huh? Makes me really curious where they'll stop the story considering we've only just finished day 1 and there are 7 episodes to go.

Honestly didn't think much of this part in the manga. It was cool, but it was alright let's get to the next part.

Holy shit it was so well adapted though I've watched this scene 6 times already

    Spoiler: show

Yeah the anime adaption of that was way funnier than the manga, I guess you can't really convey it properly drawing it.

Considering you're a Midousuji fan, I'm not surprised you want to proceed forward, lol. Another great episode and more good stuff to come. I'm wondering how they'll manage to even finish the second day in the next 4 episodes. There is a lot to cover. They might just barely make it though.

Midosouji's voice actor is so wonderfully creepy. Next week's episode is going to be fantastic

If the inter high next season doesn't end with a 6 man Sohoku team singing Hime while passing Midosouji for the finish, I will be sad

Is there only 1? I thought this was the last one until the next season (Which is in the fall). Regardless, given what's left, I don't think 1 more episode will finish off day 2 anyway lol
