Arguable. I don't care for playing with random people, I just don't want to have to pick a dungeon. I suppose WoW's spoiled it for a lot of us.
No he means he wants the random dungeon aspect of it without dealing with DF random people.
Interview from Tokyo just the other day said stuff with goblins is further down the road. Not sure whether they will get dailies either, at least not for the time being, because they've talked about the bonus item for maxing the five previously announced tribes which would lead me to believe that's all of them for the time being.

Nah, like I admitted to I'm spoiled by WoW's RDF. The point is always the reward, not "helping" people. Hell, when you get a role bonus the game outright says "For being someone in need, you get an extra (gil) and (experience) bonus!" or something to that degree. I understand that there's a different philosophy in XIV for the purpose of the random dungeon mode, but SE's only fooling themselves if they think people are joining out of the goodness of their heart.
Too many years of the Valor grind, I guess.
This is why I felt allowing joining in progress in roulette was never a bad thing. There are plenty of up-and-running instances that will crash and burn because their tank/heal left just as much as there are plenty that haven't gotten off the ground yet. My enthusiasm for "helping" random people with roulettes divebombed when they took this away.
Wonder if Shiva will be pushed back to an expansion.

Check for in progress CM: see a 3/5 or whatever
Check for in progress Prae: see a 2/6 or whatever
Check for in progress Main Roulette: fresh run or nothing
The easiest-to-see example, but I first noticed it when a LS or FC mate wanted a tank for Tam-tara in progress and roulette gave me only fresh runs of ANY dungeon. Had to queue it directly.
Observed this around 2.15 or 2.16 and been grinding my gears ever since.
The only explanation I can think of is that they don't want people fishing for nearly complete runs for faster roulette bonus, which is probably a valid explanation given how annoying the in progress fishing was with CT. Although the simpler solution would be to just not tell us the run is in progress at all so you don't know until you're in.
