A new team in each league though

8th team in NA gone, 6th in EU ( shouldve been 7th with Gambit losing to SKP, but SKP done gone fucked up ).

I hope col make it back via expansion tourney, mil need to cut some trash first. ( new jungler/support ).

I think that CoL have the ability to finally make an impact in the LCS, but they threw the hell out of game 2.

this has already kinda been talked about to death in other places, but hai is already challenger in korea. i think he's pretty good skill-wise but most people consider him one of the less skilled mid laners in NA.

i still really do not see how korea can be considered to be that far ahead of NA mechanics wise

NA and EU Expansion Tournament Details

tl;dr

The Expansion Tournament will take place from November 15 - December 21, featuring 13 teams drawn from the Promotion Tournament, Challenger Series playoffs, and Ranked 5s ladder. The top two teams to emerge from the tournament in NA and EU will secure an LCS spot in their region.

The ladder lock date for Ranked 5s teams entering the Expansion Tournament will be at 11:59 AM PST on November 2nd, 2014 for NA and 23:59 CEST on November 9th, 2014 for EU.

Both the NA and EU tournaments will feature two rounds of online competition, followed by an additional three rounds of competition which will be broadcast live from ESL’s studios in Burbank for the NA Expansion games and in Cologne for the EU Expansion games.

To prioritize in-game competition over acquisition gamesmanship, owners with a stake in one or more teams already playing in the Expansion Tournament are restricted from obtaining a stake in another Expansion Tournament team without divesting their previous stakes.

Players who played in the most recent split for a professional team that compete in the Expansion Team and gain entry into the LCS cannot be acquired by another LCS organization until the completion of the 4th regular season week in their respective regions.

dexter was so great spring split. So great. I am really disappointed with the collapse of CLG in the summer, and I dont think dexter was the problem (though he wasn't the solution either).

I am just awaiting the triumphant return of Nien and top lane Elise!

Pretty active time now at least in the NA LCS. There's more than what I'm listing, but here are a few of the bigger moves, some old and some new.

-Amazing out of TSM, and Dexter out of CLG leaving a few jungle vacancies.
-CRS Piglet confirmed by Piglet on his stream.

-Imaqtpie and ZionSpartan leave DIG.
-Ackerman, NoName and Vasilli leave LMQ. Ackerman back to China to try and find an LPL spot. NoName retires. Vasilli looking for a spot in NA LCS.
-New team, Fusion Gaming, formed by Maknoon for expansion tournament. From Top: Maknoon, Nintendude, Huhi (former midlaner for BigFile Miracle, winless in OGN), Nien, Gleeb

EU has had some moves too, but I haven't been following that closely. Just know CandyPanda is out of SK, and Roccat has some wacky shit going on.

The move to allow only one team per organization in Korea is going to leave a lot of players up for grabs. Some, like Piglet, are already snapped up. Others, like Kakao and possibly Deft (rumored to be going to LGD and EDG respectively), will be going to the LPL. It will be interesting to see how many teams in NA and EU try to bring in former OGN players for next season.
