get KI (any works), apply OAT, punch things for 1 min without any DA, check where multihits come from.
Its not like the KI's are a pain in the ass to get

Performed a small spreadsheet test on DNC
Gear
Spoiler: show
Target: Delve Fodder
WS: Evisceration (new formula)
Base dps damage => 730,9
Atoyac OAT, +20att => 702,2
Atoyac OAT, 2%WSd => 692,5
Atoyac OAT, 4% Crit => 697
Atoyac OAT, 2% Cdam => 697,2
So from this point of view it seems that Atoyac, while fun and shit and jiggles, is not worth it.
Tried on DC Dynamis targets too, the result doesn't change altough the gap is slightly smaller.
Edit:
THIS TEST IS WRONG.
Did some mistakes in the spreadsheet, wasn't really accounting for OAT, see page 4 of the thread
Edit: Computer crashed. will try again tomorrow
Occ attack twice Maochinoli; definitely only works in one hand. Never got beyond 3 attacks w/o a kick. No multi attack gear/sub
Went and melee'd down 5 walls in lebros cavern; btw Asuran still king there (did a vsmite off pars too was close to raging fists)
Here's the parse itself if you need it for anything (Kparser save)

OAT only on maninhand for Maochinoli.. that kind of breaks my heart lol. Doesn't seem worth it really. Maybe I'm speaking too soon. Any comparison to other H2H weapons like: Homstead Cesti, Eminent Baghnakhs, Oatixur, and Tinhaspa?
It's the same augment as TotM weapons then, just like Fulgurante. Safe to confirm 40%, especially if someone looks through the .dats and only sees the one still.
An aside to that aside does anyone know if those save tp latents work in the offhand or if the melee ones work with range ws? Or if maybe the ranged ones work with melee ws too? 50 save tp is friggin sick especially with these new ws dmg
They do work in offhand, or at least the homestead weapon for blu did pre update, haven't tried after yet.
Offhand doesn't work for melee ws, idk about ranged.
EDIT: As in the save tp doesn't, the OAT works.
Save TP from homestead weapons was working in offhand before. If it doesn't now it must have been ninja edited in one of the updates.
I just went and checked and it's working offhand with club and sword. I could've sworn it didn't a few days ago, but maybe I mixed up eminent wand with homestead.
On stuff up to Delve Fodder at least, Kaqluujan OAT comes above of Aettir by ~15 points of damage (~370 vs ~385).
Good augments seem to be Crit Rate (best I could find) and STP+5, followed by Attack+20.
I kinda prefer Crit Rate and STP over the latter because the first two would work even on stuff where you're attack-capped, whereas att+20 would not.
Except when is RUN going to be attack capped? Especially when you consider the bulk of damage is coming from a WS with an attack penalty
I can't see crit rate coming anywhere close to +20 attack, for 99% of the time.
Dynamis? Salvage v1? Old world stuff? On some/most of these stuff you either are capped or so close that you cap with food. I think at least?
Either way I wasn't capped on Delve Fodder for sure (in the spreadsheet) since I had no buff loaded other than Hasso and Haste, but Kaql Oat still came above Aettir.
Maybe I messed up something, try some tests on the spreadsheet yourself?
It's what the spreadsheet says. Even with no food loaded up, Crit+4% still gave me (slightly) better numbers than +20 attack.I can't see crit rate coming anywhere close to +20 attack, for 99% of the time.
Can post more details of my setup in the spreadsheet if you want.
Crit+4% should be useful even on shitty stuff like... very old content, and on low end content of Adoulin. Uneffective on WS though, that's for sure, and with an OAT weapon WS damage should represent a fairly high percentage.
I still have to trade KIs for my Kaqluujan, I'm more than willing to read more input if you're bored enough to do some tests :D
Old world stuff sure you will cap, DC dynamis mobs you'll need ~1000 attack to cap on assuming no debuffs and more for resolution. Anything in Adoulin, even Ceizak mobs you will be nowhere near capped attack.
Given how most WS scale I don't see crit rate beating 5 store tp. At what point 20 attack beats 5 Store tp I can't be bothered to check, but crit rate should be pretty horrible compared to either.
