Need a microphone recommendation.

I'm in need of a mic to go with my headphone, but not sure which one to get. I abselutely fucking hate Blue microphone since they're expensive and shit quality, I went through 3 of them, each of them lasted about 4 months before my PC stopped recognizing them. At the moment I'm currently using a steelseries headset but it's not as comfortable as my sennheiser headphone.

I appreciate the suggestions.

I got a Blue Snowball and I love it so Im not sure why yours have had issues. Which Blue did you get?

I got both Yeti and Snowball, both died after 4 months or so, got a replacement for Snowball, but that one died too.

thats really insane tbh, I would be more concerned that you have some voltage issues in your motherboard compared to that RNG level of luck

I did some research, some Blue microphones that are produced (ones that have serial number lower than 76-065000) does not support win7, and thats what's causing the USB port not recognizing/malfunctions etc etc. I must've had fucking bad luck to get those since they stopped making that after 2007. And also the quality of USB cable that comes with it sucks.

hilariously I replaced my USB cable for mine with one that had a longer cord since it wouldnt reach to my computer
my only complaint so far is the LED doesnt turn off, otherwise everyone loves my voice now

Open it up, snip the LED wire, and put it back together. I do a lot of this albeit with a bit more finesse on the cutting part.

you may need to mic boost it to 1-2 depending on how loud you want it to be, but i'm glad I went that route.
