Tellah was like a FFXI BLM Spaming Banish II, you were using it like a real BLM as his cure sucked as well. And in the after Years Rydia just become a BLM/SMN able to cast Meteor and summon eons.

FuSoYa was that true Sage in-game. Plus he turned into pudding when defeated.

Octomammoth was the first boss I ever killed in an RPG. It would have been the Mist Dragon, but I was playing it with my little brother and he beat that one.

If you honestly enjoy a challenge, you are missing out. The DS version is wicked difficult. I remember getting Bahamut and getting my shit wrecked by the Warlock chicks in there. I spent about the next 10 in-game hours grinding the hell out of them once I got the genji gear from there. The Lunar Subterrane is absurd from the first step inside to the final walk up the ladder to Zemus.

Far harder. No comparison, especially if you aren't using a guide for 100% augments.

I'll put it this way: if you play it like you've played any 2D version, its brutal.

So I haven't seen it mentioned, but in the personal quarters part of the trailer there is a Hildibrand portrait on the wall.

Whether it's Crystal Tower gear or for something else now remains to be seen. It would mean WAR & PLD share gear with DRG (Acheron looking set would be MNK then) or is not posted at all and is as depicted in picture. I would chance believe now that we've seen the sets which are reminiscent of Acheron, Scylla, Guardian & Amon, the armor in question in the picture has been re-purposed or used for something else, perhaps Monster Hunts.

there is a piece of armor that looks just like that coming off the back, showing in between his legs. I think it's just part of the gear and not a weapon.

Hmm i'm not convinced, particularly if it's concept art and not an actual model. You are right about the matching thing at the back though.

I was asking because I played both several years apart and don't particularly remember one being worse than the other. But then again I was very young for the PS1 one so it was probably just that I needed to git gud.
