Might be fun to do a "BG After Party" with booze and gambling.

I'm well beyond 21. I'll see you all there. How is the Rio? Good/Bad/Mediocre? Not sure if we're going to stay there or not.
Rio is nice, but it's off strip. You'll have to walk a bit or get a cab to get anywhere else.
Fanfest tickets yesterday, PAX South tickets today. Thinking tomorrow I'll get hit by a bus.
Definitely be up for meeting up with some people. Booze on!
I might.. and i mean might have a ticket spare but wont know until closer the time. Give BG people first refusal!
I could be (and probably am) wrong here since I've never been to Vegas, but isn't the Rio West of the strip? Where there's a bunch of other hotels and such? I recall seeing that on priceline when looking at other hotels. It's only like 2 or 3 miles from the strip, yeah?
A few miles is nothing to walk. There is Uber otherwise
I'm not familiar but I know right now it's hot in Vegas. What's the weather like over there in Oct?
It will be really nice-warm around that time of year. Usually in the 80s.
So I just wanted to know since public sales starts tomorrow.
For people who bought more than 1 ticket, do you have to put down a 2nd char or a real name down on any extra tickets you want to buy? Can you put down a 2nd char you own on the same account? And is your real name on the ticket/badge or is it just your char name?
Trying to avoid committing to a name if people are gonna flake and maybe take someone else if tickets are transferable.
You can mark one or all of your tickets as "no character". You don't even have to have a XIV account to register.
I'm kinda surprised actually that they have fields for charname and datacenter. I guess character names are required to be unique across DCs, not just servers. Kinda makes sense, 'cuz what happens when four Cloud Sephiroths try to hit DF?
There's a screenshot of someone who met someone else in the DF with the exact same name, so they don't require uniqueness across data centers, just the servers. The game doesn't care, though the text comes out weird if you emote at them (like emoting at yourself or something; I forget).
Then that's really odd why they'd ask for a datacenter name instead of a server name.
The only thing I can think of is that they're going to have rotating groups go through the "online" activities based on your datacenter grouping, but considering that you aren't guaranteed to get an even distribution of datacenter members from FanFest signups, seems kinda pointless.
Oh well. Almost 1:30, time for EventBrite to die again rofl
The value for this field is invalid: credit card number.
