Registering on ps4,

Hello I recently upgraded from ps 3 to ps 4.. When I set up the sony account on ps4 I made a new one.. If I downloaded the upgrade ffxiv code into new account do I have to purchase game again? Keeps saying to register code when I try to log in. Yet mogstation shows I'm on ps4 now

You have to use the same PSNID that you had with the Ps3

If you made a new PSNID you need to buy a new copy of FFXIV for the PS4

One of those situations where you'd probably have to contact Square Enix and explain the situation, and hope their customer support isn't still ass.

Wait, did you do the actual account transfer from the website? Hubby and I both have ff14 on the same ps4 and didn't have to buy any copies.

Yeah I did the upgrade thru mogstation but when I set up my ps4 I couldn't remember anything for my psn ID so I just made a new one.. Then downloaded the new code.. I'm hoping if I just pay for game again -.-; I will still be able to log onto my character ... Eating 40-50 bucks for my own stupidity

Buy a copy for the ps4 and yes you can use your same character.
