Only other alternative I can think of is initially balancing all these mobs around the assumption 8 people will fight them. From there, for every person added to the enmity list, apply a scaling damage reduction so if 50 people show up, it'll still take roughly as long as the initial 8 would've needed. Making the fights themselves last 7-10 minutes should be enough for most in zone at the time to get to wherever and get credit.

Something along the lines of that would be great. If I recall correctly, Daily Quest-mobs in WoW simply gained HP for each additional person that attacked them. Worked well enough and also took into consideration that some people might show up late into the fight. It was somewhat annoying if you soloed the mob down to 10% and someone else showed up and wound up healing the quest mob by a substantial amount, but it beats finding nothing but corpses.
Overall, I like the system, though, it's a lot of fun. Only wish they limited FATEs needed for the daily hunts to one instead of two.

went 2/8 on unhidden maps when server opened and since then, about 0:10. Both those maps dropped a mist silk too (I kept one, Sath sold other way too cheap and I regret not buying it). I need one mist silk to make pajama dress

Ramuh feels really shitty compared to the other primals. I think it's a mix of the arena not being dynamic at all and the music not syncing to the fight. Feels more Ifrit tier and not cool like Garuda/Titan/Leviathan.
wI think the music is perfect for it. It's not some STEEL YOURSELF spontaneous fight with a hot-blooded beast or unpredictable birdbitch that refuses to listen to reason and attacks, it's an arranged trial of strength with someone known for wisdom/judgment. I have yet to try Extreme, but the mechanics are there to make it funner if it were more intense.
