Wakabo posted the shot I put up of Oil dropping from early yesterday morning already in the thread, but for anyone wondering if it does indeed use your slot you can notice how hovering over an oil still retains the "will use up your weekly lot" message or whatever it says. However, if you hover over something like the Onion Knight minion that message is not present.

In addition to fair/clear working for the sightseeing log looks like showers/rain are also considered the same as well.

Friends of mine tested this last night and said it does *not* work. Also the patch notes only said fair/clear, so I call bullshit.

Not sure what to tell you. I am going through it and yesterday #18 Eastern Thanalan calls for Rain in all the guides but I got it during Showers.

So I just happened to notice that melds increase success rate on desynths.

Militia scythe with 1 meld shows me 79.50% success rate right now and same ilvl Militia pliers penta'd is 99.50%.

I tested this earlier, it's 5% bonus chance per materia. Grade does not matter.

I read an interesting myth farm theory earlier regarding the new bonuses for having a new person in the group, and I'm curious if anyone has tried it out or has info on it. Basically:

Make a premade group of 7 that won't have any trouble carrying 1 person. Queue for any of the EX primals you think will have the highest "new member" rate (Like Ifrit or some such). Blow it up, get your free 100 myth for a couple minutes work, rinse repeat.

The housing vendor in the market wards sell the basic seeds for Krakka Root. I'd imagine that the others are via cross breeds and such.

I wonder how long before people start leaving dungeons/trials at the start because there isn't a new member.

Desynthed garuda's talons and got 3 demimateria of the vortex...did I just get really lucky or do those come in 3s? Each synth requires 3, but all the ones I see on mb are singles. Also got an hq darksteel ingot from a mog blade.

Edit: derp, looked back on mb and there's a couple sets of 3 and several singles, going by retainer.
