Stayed up until 3:30 AM last night binging the episodes; this show is amazing.

All I know for sure is that episode made me really want to read the books.

I just started reading the book. It's moving way slower than I thought it was. 20% in and they're still dealing with the airplane on the tarmac.

The first book moved quite slow up until the last ~ 1/3. Then book 2&3 moved at a pretty quick pace. Only downside I have to reading the book is there isn't a great surprise to a lot of what is shown in the show, but still loving the show for what it is.

Even though you might not be surprised knowing whats happening in the book, I think the way the did certain things on screen really is great.

I'm glad to hear this. Granted the show has already taken a few different approaches then the book so that makes me happy. Glad it's nothing like the last tv adaption of a book I read/watched that followed the book almost verbatim (Hemlock Grove season 1).

I love people's "fight or flight" in this show and this episode had some winners. Particularly:

Down goes the Hobbit! Rat King wasn't f'n around. I honestly didn't see that coming until the actual struggle. I was thinking this will get the ball rolling on a cure...

At first I kind of thought it was sketchy writing but now I dig the way they're giving people different reactions and such.


The Jew is such a great character, when the Rat King was talking about exterminating and his eyes lit up like "Yup, new ally!" that was quality.
