Can we get some webms up in the bucket? Filesize limits are obvious. If not that at least a way to embed webms.

It's kinda already here-ish since GIFs are now converted to webm and mp4.

Letting anyone upload any kind of webms is another can of worms since there's tons of exploit possibilities to crash people browsers or gain shell access on the servers.

Reprocessing every video uploaded without controlling the content would require a lot more cpu power than we don't actually have and the gif to webm/mp4 is already demanding enough.

I do understand your concern and I'm not trying to fight this but I do want to let you know that while its tagged by some... its marked as clean by the more reputable ones like ESET and Malwarebytes (and just most in general).

Google found 65 trojans and 22 exploits on that site which can result in being unlisted from Google.

Hopefully they do like pomf did shortly before it shut down and disallow executables from being uploaded 'cause I'm sure that's the largest part of it all. Like any other service where just anyone can upload whatever, there's bound to be 'some' exploits.

Either way, like I said, I'm not trying to convince you to do it since you have a very sound reason for not doing so in the first place but its still one hell of a bummer.

All these years and people are still salty about the spam forums?

I don't think anyone is salty, at least not in here. But when you create a thread 'Jon Snow dies this season/tonight' and intentionally bump it just so it displays from the main forum without ever even going into spam, that's when I want to bow out from seeing it. I already knew it was coming and still found it incredibly lame.

Yeah that's pretty much where BG hit the limitation of a forum software developed in 2008 and basically no new features came out since then since the whole dev team ragequit the company.
