mine, too. i had hopes he might turn out okay, and i still think he might have been better if congress weren't full of shitheads, but this is about what i expected. still better than palin. and in '12, it was obama or the guy openly selling himself.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

The internet stuff he's done has really pissed me off.

But the ACA and the credit card stuff he did was so major in a positive way, I do consider him a president I like. I think his biggest fault is not going far enough. But in retrospect he probably went as far as he was able considering congress with their hands up their asses.

I keep saying, Obama did what he could, it wasn't enough but he did what he could. I admit I voted for Obama, also any current incumbents are not getting my vote unless they're running unopposed b/c I'm really, really pissed at them. I'm more of a independent vote wise, just so you know, I don't vote along party lines at all; I vote for who I think will do the best job.

As for Mitt Romney, he rubbed me the wrong way (I think the forum knows I'm LDS) because he didn't seem to be living his religion, was really arrogant (I heard of some instances that if he were pres, would of caused some diplomatic incidents) and he changed his word too much. Tbh, Romney would be the bishop I'd hate, if that makes any sense; that's how bad he disgusted me.

Obama has his flaws, some really deep flaws as a matter of fact. I'm certain tho that Romney would of been worse.

lol at John Stewart take on it (So sad that Daily Show is now regarded as a high up news outlet because of how fucking shit all the others are).

Congress faced with break decided "Fuck working on student loans, or those immigrant children, or any of the other 100000 things on our table...lets sue the president instead!". Christ...why are these people still in office? Can we just get King George back?

Meresgi: That crap is part of what's pissing me off! No incumbent who is running in the upcoming election gets my vote, and that's that.

Which reminds me, I need to get my sister who rarely leaves the house a absentee ballot so she can vote. I know my youngest brother who lives here doesn't believe in voting, but I think every vote counts. That's how we fix this; vote the rascals out!

Yeah, it really doesn't.. The likelihood that a single vote will make a difference is so small, from a utilitarian perspective, your time is better spent making a sandwich, taking a nap, watching reruns, contemplating why BlueGartr is missing an "e", etc.

    That said, I still vote because I want my damn sticker/pin >.> <.<;

I know full well they've been tapering for months, I said when it ends. I didn't say it was over.

And when the Fed stops printing money and buying billions worth of bonds every month and the interest rates go up, and the dollar goes up it's going to have an extremely negative impact on the equity markets. They've been driven so high that we're creating another bubble. That's what I meant by my statement that our economy is built on a house of cards because we don't have any kind of solid foundation to sustain the growth that we've seen in the markets. It only has one way to go.

I was reading an article that said based on P/E if Apple was overvalued as much as FB it would be around $6,000 per share. It's ridiculous.

Using P/E ratios to value growth firms is dumb, and you should know that.

Or do you want to do Tesla or Amazon next?

    Rothbard. Ron Paul. Reaganomics. Socialism.

I'm really, really trying to speak your language Sky, because I don't think it's Terran.

Anything negative is Obama's fault (or a legacy of Clinton and Carter). Anything positive is the result of Bush's policies finally showing their effect.

Bush's policies, which were given to him by Reagan much like Moses received the commandments, so everything goes back to how great Reagan was/is/willeverbe

If you really want a contrast of conservative v. liberal policies, just look at California vs Kansas.

California has a liberal super majority, Kansas has a conservative super majority.

    California's Comeback

Poor job growth still afflicts Kansas despite Sam Brownback’s tax cuts

California must be especially painful to read about, considering Reagan was a California governor. :>

Nah, hard-right conservatives just comfort themselves by picking out the state's flaws and mocking it for its Godlessness. It's basically their go-to for how to do everything wrong, even though it gets so much right.

given the subject of this thread it was always destined for terrible terrible terribleness, but this page may be the worst written record ever to exist in the history of the mankind. it is one of the most insanely idiotic things i have ever read, at no point in your incoherent responses did you people approach anything that could be considered a rational thought, i am dumber for having suffered through it, i award yall no points, and may God have mercy on your souls
