Could've been a BRD auto-attack? idk
Could've been a BRD auto-attack? idk
Speaking of, since there's apparently no random question thread can anyone explain the deal with legacy/RR controls and auto-attack damage? This effects frontlines anyhow. Do you really lose out by playing legacy? As a DRG main I really value being able to slam D and escape with a backwards run and it allows easy setup for trick jumps with elusive. It's about facing the target right? Does that mean if I lock on/off to my target repeatedly (ala FFXI) whenever I might face away I negate the potential loss?
As a melee I am usually spinning my camera like a madman to always keep the target in front of me. Legacy control.
Why would you not just lockon and keep running at them.
There's that minimum area where you stop running but can still go closer that lockon will lock you out of. Also minor manual corrections / cutting off their path when Sprint vs Sprint or something. Also I like epileptic camera apparently.
There's no detriments to using legacy in regards to AA if you control your character correctly. For example, strafe with your camera pointed to the target when moving sideways, etc. Hell if you want to slowly walk backwards while facing them you can do that too.
There is still some difference between >i80 gear, though.
NQ Augmented Cashmere Robe of Casting gives less MND and VIT than Weathered Daystar Robe (IIRC, it's 1 less of each). I believe all non-crafted gear is considered HQ? The only exception I would anticipate is the new i80 dungeon gear, which I don't have.
Nah, i80 dungeon gear is "HQ" too.
Crafted gear's ilvl is based on the HQ version so it's better to think of an NQ as a penalty rather than HQ as a bonus imo, but yes. All non-crafted is considered "HQ," if that shit is green/blue it's "HQ"
Another tip for setting up PvP hotbars (this example is for a WHM using gamepad, with PvE gear in gearset 1 and PvP gear in gearset 2):
1) copy your PvE xhotbar to an unused slot:
/crosshotbar copy WHM 1 CNJ 3
2) modify your xhotbar with desired PvP skills
3) copy your new PvP xhotbar to another unused slot:
/crosshotbar copy WHM 1 CNJ 4
4) Create the following macros:
Macro 1
/micon 1 gearset
/echo WHM PvE
/crosshotbar copy CNJ 3 WHM 1
/gearset change 1
Macro 2
/micon 2 gearset
/echo WHM PvP
/crosshotbar copy CNJ 4 WHM 1
/gearset change 2
(This also works with /hotbar copy.)
P.S. Is there a way to set /micon for either gearsets, or class/job icons? edit: Thanks, Kaisha.
Punch me in the mouth if I missed it, but how are Wolf Mark/PvP Exp rewards calculated at the end of a match?
iirc...
1st/2nd/3rd
400/300/200 exp
600/450/300 wolf marks
Every loss you personally suffer will give you a stacking 10% bonus to EXP until you win a match. I don't know if there's a cap to it.
I'll add this into OP somewhere.
really wish i didn't have to party with so many retards when i'm going up against seravi and friends.
had this guy shouting and straight up throwing tantrums cause people wouldn't leave manors or pve to help him in markets.
Evenings are dangerous times against Flames on Primal. Unless you luck out and get one of the matches we're not all in and withdraw from.
(read as: come at us bros)
Btw, I know this is already in the guide, but just in case anyone requires a more concrete answer. This is from a GM on the official forums.

there's someone in the Adders convinced we have a mole for the Flames and it's kind of funny
also mentioned a "hyperion premade" in ally chat today
We kept getting Temple/Middle duty, haven't had any Adders' Murdering @ Markets fun. 8 straight wins tonight with one premade group, so I'm happy.
That said, every time we got heliodrome duty we had it on complete lockdown with 7 folks in the party having knockback capabilities and camping the ramp tops.
Indeed.
Spoiler: show
Late edit: Tonight I learned that /c works on enemy players. Shows you which healers/tanks are being stupid and using wrong accessories.
