Aurik is correct. It's very feasible to ship the disks that way, as they are usually art/animations, and other textures/models that are sticking around long term and usually independent of the real guts of the game. Whether WoD actually does this, or not, is another matter entirely, but having that pre-release month build does not exclude the possibility of the disk versions shipping as stated.
