Woop, 3rd Feeding and I got Gloom Purple. Got 3 more messages as well, totaling to 20 messages in all. This purple so legit, I've forgotten about wanting Storm Blue for now, lol.

Pic works for me.
PSA: Whatever you do, do NOT unstable your chocobo while it's changing... FML

1 pineapple with message went from plum purple to coral pink.
Another 15 getting the message on 1 and 5-15 yielded Royal Blue from Lavender Blurple.
Fed my chocobo what the sheet says to get Snow White: Doman Plum x15, Cieldalaes Pineapple x6, Valfruit x12
It's sylph green.
Wat do to make it white?
Feed it X number of valfruit?
For now, I fed it 3 Valfruit (got message on 3rd berry). I'll report back on its color when it changes.
I know its been said before, but I think the message of "plumes begin to change colors" is RNG. Some people may get it on the first fruit, others the 2, and some the 3rd, ect... So I think the RGB scale is correct, but its not based on the fruit (per say) but more on the "plume change" message w/ "X" type of fruit.
So instead of feeding it raw fruit, its "X" messages with O'ghoro berries AND "X" messages with Valfruit.
This is what's leading to people getting different colors and results with the same amount of fruit. So we need to start paying attention to the number of messages we get with each type of fruit and record our results that way.
the best way to test the theory based on the RGB scale is to give a base color chocobo any type of fruit until you get a single "plumes change" message. Then wait 6 hours and see what color you get. Then compare the color to the change in the RGB scale and bingo, we now know how much each message changes the scale.
If my choco doesn't come out the color I want in 1 hour then I'll feed it some fruit and post the results. I guarantee its a static figure for everything, we have just been looking at it wrong
Another update. The apple made him pumpkin orange from coral pink. Fed two domam plums, both got the message. Will report back next change.
So far have fed my bird 6 Pineapples which made him Honey Yellow. Berries just finished growing today and started feeding him those, got 11 messages out of 11 berries. Interested to see what color he becomes.

Ill take a picture during the day to get better lighting. But that's Plum Purple which i got from feeding it 18 O'berries. I didn't pay attention to the plumage message but I got one every 1 or 2 feedings.
Dunno about the color, I kind of want to try Gloom Purple
edit: I'm trying for Gloom purple now. Did 4 more berry messages and 3 apple messages
Sho, post pictures of your Gloom Choco!
So i need opinions. Keep it the color I have it or go for Gloom Purple!? It will be in DPS chocobo barding next week also
Counting only feedings where I got a "feathers are changing" message, 1 valfruit from sylph green turned it colibri pink.
UGH
3 doman plums later...guess we'll see what it becomes.
Feed 1: Desert Yellow -> Honey Yellow (6x Cieldalaes Pineapples, 1 message)
Feed 2: Honey Yellow -> Aldgoat Brown (11x O'ghomoro Berries, 11 messages)
Feed 3: Aldgoat Brown -> Raptor Blue (10x O'ghomoro Berries, 10 messages + 5x Doman Plum, 5 messages)
almost thinking that every message after the first doesn't mean anything unless you mix other fruits, and even then... I refuse to believe I've had 26 pieces of fruit all give me a message that actually means something. aiming for a dark cyan, so hopefully adding more berries and removing some red will start to make him blue, then can remove green to darken it.
Spoiler: show
Edit: turned blue. now to decide if I want it darker or lighter.
