Need a new office chair

Figure this might make more sense posting here then in General Discussion.

I need a new office chair for my computer desk. My current one, the chair keeps slipping down after a couple years of use and the leather arm rests are peeling and cracking bad. I'm hoping to find something that will last a few years without breaking the bank. I'm willing to spend up to 300 if it's an OMGBESTCHAIREVER kind of thing, but would prefer to stay in the 200ish range. Amazon prime shipping options will be even better.

Only requirements is that it's leather, and you don't need an engineering degree to get it assembled. I weigh 248, so I shouldn't run into the weight limit issues of most chairs.

Someone suggest Melena (and I) some good mid-range chairs. I'd say $300 is a bit steep.

$300 for a executive style chair isn't steep, it's on the low end really. If you are spending less than $200, it's gonna break pretty quick.

$200-300 range is the low-mediocre range for leather and generally last a few years unless you live in it otherwise you're paying $500+ for actual leather. If you're willing to splurge a bit and drop the leather requirement then I really recommend Aeron chairs. You can find them new at a little under $700 and likely in the $500-650 range if you hunt through CL and office supply dealerships for used/refurbs. I liked leather chairs a lot but once I was able to try out an Aeron my lower back and hips refused to go back to squishy leather/foam.

Mesh is another option. Part of the 2-300 range is due to my cats. It's going to get beat up, so I don't want to have a 700 dollar scratching post.

Get an Aeron. Pony up and spend the money, it's worth it. Consider it an investment, don't look back.

I bought a new chair about once every 1-2 years until I got an Aeron.
