This whole bending thing got blown so out of proportion. I was reading the Macrumors forums when the first instance of it happened. 4 days later Apple confirms a total of 9 phones were reported to have bent. Nine. 9. Like seriously, this whole big deal is in the news over nine phones. I mean I have the 6, but I never put my phone in my pocket unless I'm wearing baggy sweats around the house, in which case they're loose anyway. My phone goes in my purse or in a holster (I tend to have 2 or 3 cases for a phone.. I like to change color to co-ordinate).

The only phone that ever sustained any damage that I owned was a Note 2. It was in a case (Spigen Neo-Hybrid) when it fell out of a truck and hit the pavement on the corner. The case took the full brunt of the initial blow, but when it landed it apparently scuffed some of the silver accent that apparently wasn't noticed when I traded it in for full credit. XD So I mean get a decent case and don't treat your electronics poorly and you'll have no issues. Accidents happen, but if you put a phone that big and thin in your pocket (some of these people put it in their back pocket, which to me is just.. what), then you deserve what you get. When I go out and spend money on something I'm going to take care of it to the best of my ability. Simple.

Also, been running 8.0.2 since last night without issue on the 6 and iPad mini. Seems good to go.

I guess we're recycling this thread for the hardware event. So far it's been meh until they started talking about hardware. New iMac looks nice. Apple mini update is cool, but why no retina macbook air or retina cinema display......
