Xenosaga HD Collection would only be worth it if they completely redid the mechanics of XS2.
Every time I think of the series I'm reminded of that awful game. Its the reason I can't bring myself to play 3 today. Too skurred. 2 did terrible things to me and I just can't risk it. 3 is supposed to be the best but I just... can't. It hurts.

Well, you should get over it >.> The difference is night and day. I don't think anything that would even remind you of 2 can be found in 3.

Yeah, 3 was incredibly fun for me. it was pretty much everything i wanted in a xenosaga game and more, and the story was epic... too epic. damn thing ended and now i want more. :/

Combination of dealing with grad school at the time and people telling me how freaking terrible it was.

(I never played 3 either because I could get all of 5 hours into 2 before wanting to punch small rocks).

I CodeBreaker'd my way through 2 just so I can get to 3. No regrets.

If I didn't already have CB, I'd still say it's worth it just to get past the terrible gameplay that is 2.

I suffered through 2 just to witness Albedo go from one of the biggest bastards in any video game I've played to one of the biggest bros. I'd do it again too if I was drunk enough.

XS2 definitely had it's moments. That scene where Albedo beats the crap out of that one kid because he thought everyone of them could regenerate. That's literally where he snaps and goes batshit insane because he realized Rubedo and Nigredo were gonna die and leave him alone one day.
