I think she also asked a key question: what's the biological basis for believing that gmo foods lead to long term health consequences and what is the mechanism for justifying concern over stacked genetic modifications? The anti gmo side wasn't able to answer that. It gives the impression that the anti-gmo side just wants to endlessly insist on more studies until they finally find the smoking gun they want. No matter how much research you do, they will always focus on what the research doesn't say, so no amount of research is ever good enough.

On a related note, 88% of scientists agree that GMOs are safe for human consumption, while only 37% of the general american populace thinks GMOs are safe.

I love this type of stuff.

I post this shit on fb and tons of links about how scientists say GMOs are A-OK. And my liberal friends jump me bitching about how I can't trust everything I read on the internet and scientists lie and blahblahfucking blah.

Then I wait a week. And post something about anti-vaxx morons or idiot republicans decrying global warming and they bitch and moan about how stupid people are for not trusting what the majority of scientists have proven etc etc then I laugh and huff a little bit of paint thinner.
