    HP Computer/Monitor issues

My new job provided me with a new HP desktop (elitedesk I7) and a new 21.5" 1080p LED Monitor LA2206x. Running into a couple of issues though that google is failing me on.

    1. About every other time I reboot the computer, the monitor goes blank and I have to turn off/on the monitor for the display to show. I am going through the display port to the computer, I turned off auto source and the display port is set to the default display. I have also had it lose the display when the windows administrator rights window popped up.

    2. Every time I log off/reboot, numlock gets turned off. I've spent time in the bios and can't seem to find anything concerning numlock

Try this to get numlock on at at windows startup.

    Also this:

To enable NUM LOCK before a user logs on, follow these steps:
    Run Registry Editor.
    Move to
    HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard
    .
Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2
Edit: Ignore the previous, it's for XP

    Win7/8 should follow these instructions:

    Elitedesk 800 bios manual states:

Computer Setup > Advanced > Device Options
Numlock State at Power on : On (default Off)
