New 970 wont show in BIOS

Just got my Gigabyte 970. Installed it.

The fans are on and led logo lights up, but it isnt showing up in my bios or device manager.

Any known ways to fix this or do I just have a defective unit?

I have reseated and confirmed all connections. I am going to try my only other pci e lane. My old gpu worked fine. my pc has been without any gpu since Saturday until today.

PCI e lane 2 isnt working either. Sigh. have to RMA card. /tableflip

update bios maybe? is the card getting enough power, Ive been told the gigabyte ones drink a little deeper of the power supply

I have a Corsair AX760.

I tried to update bios via internet inside bios, it is telling me it cant connect to the internet. I did an update through internet in bios a year or 2 ago.

Updated Bios, that worked.

Inst drivers, reboot, screen started saying no signal then getting signal then no signal loop on reboot.

Hit reset button, everything is working as intended again. Glorious 1440p again.
