Do you enjoy the sound of birds chirping early in the morning? Do they annoy you? Are there even birds around your place you can even hear? Perhaps you're a night person?

I have issues with them waking me up at 5am. It's either that or I close my window and get woken up due to the heat.

I used to live in a small town and played FFXI til the sun came up. I liked hearing the birds in the morning.
Now I live in a bigger city and all I hear is sparrows.

I love it, but usually we get blue jays around here and I can't stand them lol However, the birds that are around in Iowa, are really nice to wake up to. Went to visit last April, and it was very nice to wake up to.

We have a house martin nest above our bedroom window, I love hearing them first thing on a morning.

The shit that flies past the windows is also amusing.

I don't hear them often because I tend to wake before they do, but when I do, I do enjoy them.

I sleep through just about anything, including a car crashing into the fence outside my bedroom window, and the whole fire trick/police car/etc brigade showing up after... the telephone pole outside my window getting struck by lighting, engulfed in flames, and fire trucks + etc coming to put it out... a hurricane... so yeah, the birds don't wake me up.

That said, when I go to bed late and they're already chirping, it can be annoying and make it distracting/difficult to fall asleep. I live close to a wooded/fielded area, so there's lots of them.

On the other hand, they're nice to hear when I'm waking up.

i'm a night owl so usually when i hear them it's another signal that i need to go the fuck to sleep. as long as they are sufficiently muted (window closed or fan running, etc) they don't bother me at all, but they used to piss me off something fierce. back when i was an angry teenager.

I miss falling asleep to nightsounds during the summer. Cicadas, Katydids, crickets, and frogs always helped me fall asleep. Living in the city sucks because now all i hear are trucks and cars and sirens.

It really depends on the birds. Crows squawking or blue jays annoy me. Other smaller birds are nice to hear in the morning.

i hate them to the point that if i could train brown tree snakes to just stay on my property and not expand and breed until they covered the lower half of the US, i'd import a dozen for every tree on my place.
