Printing issue

I hate printers. I don't know much about them because I hate them. I do have a question though. Why is it that if print a scanned picture, it comes out (quality wise) like the scanned picture. But if I print a pic I have loaded from a phone/camera, it comes out faded and poopy?

I'm no expert but when you scan something you might be pulling in more dpi.
I'd have to see the settings on everything. Other than that, I have no clue D: I don't use printers either cause fuck ink cartridges.

Yah, it has to do with resolution. It's like blowing up a 800x600 video game on a 1920x1080 screen.
