Likely added to new dungeons and possibly hunt merchant. They are also already obtainable through the Ixtal (which you can get 6x/day from) so they won't be as annoying to come by as philo mats when 2.2 came.

Problem with Ixal one is that while it looks better on paper (9x philomats sounds lame, 1x mythmat = alright), it's shit in practice (9 oaknots buys 2 synths worth of philo, 7 knots buys 1 synth of myth).

I hope that they go back and revise Sylph, Amala'ji, Sahagan and Kobold's dailies so you can actually use the exp on lower level classes to boost them a little. I just started doing the Ixtal and it's already proving to be very beneficial and I see very little reason to go and cap on the other beastmen currently because of that.

So what's the thought on myth tomes: stockpile as much as I can over the next two weeks to convert to soldiery, or use what I have not before 2.4?

I just hit 50 recently and have nearly full AF2 so I would only want to grind myth to start my Zenith Relic.

Working on my 3rd stack of oaknuts myself atm as I've been doing it daily (used a few to make augmentation gear while it was still good money of course!)
Also I've got 2 retainers filled with tons of gear + primal weapons for massive amount of seals , and sitting at 49,000 atm also.

Oh I made an error, for some reason I thought it was 1:1 and not 7:1. Yea that sucks a bit, especially considering that you typically need 3 myth mat for 1 completed armor synth.

Yoshida already confirmed in a recent live letter that they would continue focusing on the boss fights instead of the areas, so I'm not expecting anything.

Preemptive disappoint, oh well at least the mechanics will be interesting for the first month or so. I wonder if they've ever considered making the encounters change weekly so patterns are not the same every time you go in each week.

004 is definitely a boss arena (there's an exit teleport past the inner circle) and the outer circle has jumping pads.

The winged lalafell and the woman next to him look draconic to me. In fact their armor really reminds me of the armor that Darnus is wearing. I wonder if these are related to third Coil at all? They did mention the "children of Bahamut" in Coil2.

edit: the more I look at it the more I think they just spoiled the Coil bosses. The flying snake (Shinryu?) and the hydra look like they're wearing "armor" that's similar to Bahamut's too.

That looks pretty good honestly. At least these bosses mean something more than a generic plant or bot.

Edit: Honestly I hope that's not Shinryu. It looks like Leviathan but it wouldn't be the first time Shinryu is simply a name slapped onto some dragon/serpent thing you've faced before in the same game.
