Satomi at least has a certain degree of common sense and self-esteem, but, honestly speaking, none of the human females in this series have a lot going for them (Shinichi's mother was cool, though).
Kana did her utmost to push my tolerance for teenagers in this episode, so I honestly didn't mind seeing her impaled. Plus, I got to see Shinichi rip out someone's heart afterwards, so the end made up for the rest of the episode.

I really hope the story won't be held back by "teenagers being dumb" much longer, but, seeing how the love-triangle-crisis has been successfully averted in a rather efficient fashion, I'm optimistic.

I'm disappointed in Kana's death. I think she's a much more interesting female character than Satomi. Why give someone such a power but then provide nothing significant to the story. If nothing else, she at least died too early. I think it would have been more interesting if Satomi died and then something ended up happening between Kana and Shinichi

Yeah, I knew she was going to die, but I didn't think it would happen so soon. Her whole power thing was pointless but perhaps it was just a setup to get viewers used to normal humans who can sense parasytes.

I don't see why he couldn't chase the damn guy with a crutch down to talk to him. Or why he can't tell Satomi the same way he told Kana, when Migi is asleep. At least she doesn't have any super sense power that will get her killed.

Precisely because he doesn't know who he is working for that running after him isn't a good idea. Besides, what is he gonna do once he catches him beside talk? And what good spot? He could've just gone to somewhere more public and stayed there. What is Shinichi gonna do?
