Is that currently in-game or a 1.0 screenshot? I've not progressed with the MSQ/hildebrand for 2.3 yet

Homam was always a favourite along with the Askar set. I just really like the sturdy look of it. I kinda wished my Valor gear in XIV was grey like XI's though. I don't like it blue too much

edit: i just a had a thought. as kaiser is definitely tank based on what we know from FFXI, I got a feeling they'll put Ares in the drg category (despite WAR/PLD being able to wear it)

Having mixed feelings on reusing armor sets from FFXI, to be honest. Recycling stuff from previous games is a large part of Final Fantasy, but it sometimes feels like it comes at the expense of originality in FFXIV, whether it's armor, areas or enemies. Not that it's entirely bad, but I'm having a hard time getting all excited about every thing from previous installments that is worked into this game.

I actually feel it's a good thing only for the simple fact that it's in higher quality and we'll never get a FFXI HD. FFXI has some very nice armor designs that would look great in HD.

To each their own; not as good as some of the High Allagan sets (HA Tank/Monk come to mind) imo, but still not terrible. I'm willing to bet though that it won't be called Allagan, like how Coil1 and Coil2 were "Allagan xxx" and "High Allagan xxx," I have a feeling that these sets will probably be "Bahamut's xxx" based on how they seem to resemble him.
