April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Out-numbered, out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Just came out yesterday, ended up seeing it with my ladyfriend (Was her turn to pick a movie too. :D) We both enjoyed it quite a bit! Tank on Tank action was awesome, the soundFX for the tank shells and bullets ricocheting and zipping by were awesome. Had some slow parts for character development ("Hotel" Scene.) Loved how the crew of the FURY interacted together, good laughs, good sads all around.

Sidenote:
Looked into it a bit, It's based off a true story and they flew in a 5 WW2 vets to hangout with the cast to share WW2 stories. My Grandpa was a tank operator in WW2, I was young when he passed, and he never really talked about the war much aside from when his tank rolled over a landmine while he was sitting ontop, he fell off and was almost crushed by it O_o!!! It was interesting watching what he could have gone though out there.

hoping to catch this tomorrow. Brad Pitt in a tank is a genre that I didn't know I needed until I heard that it existed

Saw it last night, great movie all around. Great fight scenes, even better acting. I'm a believer in Shia now because of this movie.

Don't watch any trailers, don't read any reviews. Just go see it. I promise that you won't be disappointed.

Thought it was great. You can say what you want about Shia but I thought he was fantastic in this movie.

Dude, you're awesome. I have spent an unhealthy amount of time trying to figure that shit out. It was the accent that was throwing me for a loop.

This movie definitely made me a Shia fan. He's really stepping out of the cookie cutter roles.

Why are the reviews for this so bad?

My parents came to town this weekend and we were thinking about going to a movie, but this was the only one I could think of and they didn't want to because all they'd heard was how terrible it was.

critic reviews are tho, like metacritic is like 60

but yeah I'm not trying to say it's a bad movie or anything like that, obv haven't seen it, just wondering why it's getting shit on by critics when all I'd heard was from here that it was super awesome

It's a simple plot with out a lot of development. You're kinda just dropped onto a tank company during the final days of the war. People are probably just pissed there aren't tanks turning into transformers with baysplosions every minute.

It has solid acting and great battles. Tell them to syfy and go see it.
